IBC SOLAR South Africa is proud to welcome Ethanne Soar as our new Head of Sales for Gauteng. With a strong background in renewable energy, environmental science, and technical sales, Ethanne brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team, reinforcing our commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solar solutions.

Ethanne holds a BSc in Environmental Science and a BScHONS in Geography and Environmental Science, both achieved with distinction from the University of Pretoria, where he also earned top-of-the-class honours. His passion for sustainability and conservation has driven his professional journey, leading him to specialise in environmental consulting, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and large-scale renewable energy projects.

With five years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Ethanne has developed an impressive track record in technical sales, project development, and business expansion. During his tenure as Technical Sales Manager at GreenHouse Energy Consulting, he played a pivotal role in growing the sales team, achieving top sales consultant status for four consecutive years, and expanding the company’s market presence, particularly in the Western Cape. His contributions extended beyond sales, as he also spearheaded process optimisations, team training, and strategic growth initiatives.

Prior to joining IBC SOLAR, Ethanne also served as a Senior Project Developer at Emergent Energy, where he focused on investment engineering in commercial solar sales. His role involved project management, technical consulting, and market analysis, ensuring seamless project execution from concept to completion.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ethanne is a dedicated mathematics and science tutor, a passionate advocate for sustainability, and an outdoor enthusiast. His diverse interests include marathon running, hiking, and playing the cello at an advanced level, having been part of the South African National Youth Orchestra.
