Leadership Change at IBC SOLAR South Africa: Welcoming Fredrik Hagelberg as Second Managing Director

Cape Town, February 17, 2025 – IBC SOLAR, a leader in solar energy solutions, is excited to announce a change in leadership at its South African subsidiary, IBC SOLAR South Africa Pty (Ltd.), effective from January 15, 2025.
As part of a strategic transition, Daniel Haitzler, who has served as the Managing Director since IBC SOLAR South Africa’s inception in 2017, will be stepping down on March 31, 2025, due to personal reasons. His departure marks the end of an era where Daniel has significantly shaped the company’s vision and success. During his tenure, Daniel was instrumental in positioning the company as a strong player in the commercial and industrial sectors and driving the adoption of storage systems across the region.
To ensure a smooth transition and continued growth, IBC SOLAR South Africa is pleased to welcome Fredrik Hagelberg as the new second Managing Director based in Cape Town. Fredrik joins the company with a wealth of experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in photovoltaics and battery storage. Most recently, he served at CVE (Changing Vision of Energy) South Africa, where he played a key role in expanding the company's presence in the commercial and public sectors. His previous experience includes being Southern Africa Area Director at Fonroche Lighting and co-founding Terra Firma Solutions, where he focused on energy efficiency and solar technologies.
Fredrik’s proven track record in both management and the renewable energy industry makes him an excellent fit for this role. Over the next two months, Fredrik will work closely with Daniel to ensure a seamless transition and continued excellence in leadership.
“We are grateful for Daniel’s dedication and leadership over the past eight years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said the IBC SOLAR team. “We are equally excited to have Fredrik on board, and we are confident that his expertise and strategic vision will further strengthen IBC SOLAR South Africa’s position in the renewable energy market.”
With Fredrik’s leadership, IBC SOLAR South Africa is poised to continue its momentum, providing high-quality solar energy solutions that contribute to the country’s transition to clean, sustainable energy.
IBC SOLAR looks forward to a future of growth, innovation, and further impact in the South African energy sector under Fredrik’s guidance.
